I found the old blog!!!!!!

It is hard to believe that I haven't posted anything on here since 2006! We got back to the USA and life just started at warp speed! I look back at these photos and can't believe where the time has gone!

Fast forward 1 1/2 years .....here is Paige now. She is a water bug and beach bunny. She could swim for hours. She knows how to dive down to the bottom of the pool and pick up diving sticks and swim across the pool without help. She is very comfortable in the water! We have spent our summer relaxing by the pool as she play all day. She has also tried to surf with Matt. And..no matter where we go..even the beach..she loves to read! :)

growing... growing...15 months

I think all that rain made me grow. I am getting so big. The most substantial growth I have had is my hair. It is getting so long.. still very fine.. but growing and growing! My mom can now put it in a small back ponytail and braid the front! I am just starting to let her play with my hair.. only when I am tired and want to chill though.. then, as soon as she is done.. I like to pull the rubberband out. It makes for a fun game! I am talking alot now also.. I have always been babbling.. but now I can say words. My new words are Thank you.. it actually sounds like, "tank two".. I will count to three ( I mimick these.. of course)... I can say Apple Juice, Milk, eyes, nose, ball, eat, more, circle, boobie (thanks dad for teaching me that one), hair, bath, etc... I am a walking dictionary lately.. it is amazing how fast the words come to me!

Rain Rain.. Go Away!!

Right after I was getting used to the heat and the beach we got hit with 17 straight days of rain. THat is right.. 17 straight days of rain! IT was terrible and my Mom and I were going stir crazy inside. I read a lot of books and worked on throwing fits. We sang a lot of songs and I took a lot of cat naps .. What else is there to do in the rain? Oh.. and I must add... it isn't Southern Cali rain... where a slight drizzle calls for a newsbreak on the local channels...oh no... this is terrential downpour....
Here I am with my rain coat on.. not thrilled

Ahhh.. Okinawa

Once we got back from San Diego.. we started taking advantage of the fact that we live on a Tropical Island. We have spent the last few months at the beach a lot! I really love the water. I love to run up and down the beach and into the waves. I am not a big fan of floating.. I would rather be walking in the water.

Visiting San Diego

Right after my 1st birthday I went to San Diego to visit the rest of my family. The flight was a little rough, but once I got to San Diego and ate real mexican food.. I forgot all about it. I had a great time visiting all of my Mom's friends and seeing my family. I especially liked hanging out with my cousin, Mason. We chased eachother all over the house and up and down the stairs. I took my first steps in Las Vegas while I was visiting my Aunt Maggie, Mo and Mitch!

Happy Birthday Paige

It has been awhile since I have updated, so I am going to dig into my brain and remember some of the great things we have done in the past 4 months! Paige turned 1 on April 2nd! We were so fortunate to have Matt's family visiting us in Okinawa! We spent the weeks traveling around the island and eating lots of yummy food. Paige had her first cupcake and LOVED it!

Okay.. I don't know why 4 of these pictures came up... but oh well... This is Paige on the balcony of the hotel that Meem, Mo and Mitch stayed at.

mmmmm...spaghetti

I have decided that playing with my food is a lot more fun than eating it. I tend to start off with the intention to EAT my food.. but then I get bored and want to have some fun. My new game is to make my parents believe that I love to eat and then to start throwing it off the tray, onto the floor.. .OR onto my head. It is really fun to make a mess with tomato sauce. I don't get it that often (I wonder why?).. but when I do... it is like red finger paint. I go NUTS!

Lately I have totally vetoed vegetables. My mom sneaks spinach into my quesadilla or coats my broccoli with cream of mushroom.. then I will eat it. It tasted good that way! I prefer white foods (ie..tortillas,pears,chicken,pasta,string cheese, club crackers, pancakes and bananas). I think I will continue to be stubborn for awhile. It is fun to watch my mom get frusterated when I don't eat veggies. I just smile and laugh at her...

My beautiful family

Here we are at baby beach taking our annual photo.

Does Hawaiian sand taste different than Okinawan sand?

Hmmmm... yes.. there is a slight difference.. Okinawan sand is a little bit fishier.. this sand has a finer consistency and tastes of tropical fruit!

Hula Girl

Here I am taking a break after dancing the Hula with Mason.

Aloha from Kauai

In January I met my family in Kauai. My Great Grandpa John, Gramma Kris (tu tu in hawaiian), Grandpa Oggie, Aunt Marisa, Uncle Mike and Cousin Mason all came over to see my Mom, Dad and I. We stayed in a huge house. I saw sea turtles, whales, monk seals and much more from my balcony. It was amazing! I loved the beach. I spent all day playing in the water and sand. My favorite times was when my uncle and dad would dig me a huge hole to sit in and splash in the water. I even got a little bit of a tan (imagine that!). I think we should move to Hawaii. It was so much fun.

Paige at 10 months

Hello everyone. I was told this is an easy way to keep everyone up to date on Paige... so, I am going to try it out. Paige is turned 10 months on the 2nd of February. She also started pushing a tooth up and out this past week. Her first one yet. We were beginning to wonder if she was going to get them? We were enjoying her gumless grin and she didn't seem to need teeth, since she manages to eat everything anyway. Paige is talking all the time. She can say, "hi kitty"... amazing, I know.. but we always knew she would be an early talker.. look at her mother! She loves to wave hello and goodbye and gives us a lot of hugs and kisses. Paige is a true ham!
